Has anybody built a Craycraft 450 yet?I know thier raptor is crazy fast,but have they done anything with the 450 yet?Thier web site dosn't say much about it.

 

Im not sure if the 450 has really that much more room to mod it. It's allready running pritty high compression... I dont know if there is much room in the head for a bigger cam, and no one makes one yet (that ive heard of) You could get a bigger bore and add a little power there, and yes a port and polish would help. I just don't think that it is as open to mods as other quads. Someone can correct me if I am wrong tho.

 

The only one who can answer that question is Bob Craycraft. I am sure that he can make any 450 faster than what it is today.

 

No there are none..........I talked to bob friday.........he said that there are none........but he is looking for a yfz head to port at a reduced price.........kind of a Prototype thing.........

I have no doubt in my mind that he can make a BEAST outta a yfz..........

 

I agree with you Scary, he probly could make one fly. Guess we will have to wait and see, those YFZs dont need to be faster then me!

friend of mine has a yfz with a 475 stroker. i don't think its a craycraft motor tho. it hauls tho!

 

Ill never let go of the craptor!!!!!!!! The raptor is the best and nicest quad ive ever owned and it will be with me forever lol

The YFZ's are sick!! They beat piped and jetted raptors bone stock. My buddy just had 700.00 worth of mods(Piped Jetted and some other minor adjustments) from Sparks and that thing hauls some sick azz!! If he gets a good holeshot on my 690 and my buddies DS720 we cant catch him at all!!! They are going to be the next best thing out there unless Honda's 450 can do any better but we will have to wait and see for that one.

Good going Yamaha, cuz when the 400ex's came out they were some sick 4 strokes as well. Now the 660 and 450 and looking pretty good for Yamaha.
