A Moto4 200 was my first quad, really liked it, a little underpowered for big hills, but a great trail quad, very light and easy to steer. Tough as nails, to be honest, back then I was a complete idiot maintenence wise, it ran for 2 years without me cleaning the air filter or changing the oil. I kept it until I traded it in on my Wolverine, got almost what I paid for it in trade, what a deal !

Actually, I had 2, an 88 YFM 200DX and an 86 YFM 225S. Rode em for years, few problems, other than the crappy front drum brakes.

I still have one parked in my garage. that 250 is a creek crossing machine and it climbs like a billy goat with its low range. the only thing I didn't like about it was the reverse system. you had to lift the shifter like you were going into first and then pull the lever back. It was a b!tch to do when that motor got hot. I have those fat wal-mart carisile knobbies on the back and they are great in sand and crappy in mud. They are the lowest psi tires I have ever ran. I think that they are around 2 psi right now. That thing had the worst shocks in the world. It might have had 2 inches of travel at the most.

it was my first too, an 84. We actually had 2 of them. As others said, the brakes sucked.

I imagine we ran ours w/o changing the oil or clening the filter too. My dad is bad about that. Tough bike. Ran forever! I think we had them about 5 years? They were still running when we sold them

I had one for 13 years. It was a 89 moto 4 200. Ran great when i traded it in for the raptor. I wish i would have kept it now.
