Default Helmets? yes or No

Personally I wear my helmet most of the time. But If i decide to ride with out it on my bike or my wheeler I don't need someone saying I'm breaking a law or calling me an idiot. In 31 years of riding I have had my fair share of crashes and seen 100s more. I haven't seen a helmet be a life saver that often although I have. If they saved lifes like a lot of people think you would automaticly live if you wear one and automaticly die if you don't I don't see it that clear cut.

Whenever I go anywhere riding, I always wear one.

If I am messing around in my yard, I someitmes don't wear one..

Every once in a while, I will be riding and take it off for a few mins to cool down but still keeping riding...then put it back on.

I almost always wear one when I'm on the Raptor. It has a mind of it's own sometimes. I've crashed just backing out of the shop. You've got to love that 01 reverse gear. 2 of my crashes where I got injured bad enough to go to the hospital and get surgery I wasn't wearing a helmet, but they were slow speed crashes. I guess I was just lucky. When I ride the Honda 4X4 I almost never wear a helmet. I guess one day I'll be a statistic. But whenever I'm with anybody else no matter what we're riding, I always wear a helmet. I at least try and be a good example when I'm with others. I do have a lot of insurance so my wife doesn't complain much.

NO wildchild660 it's not... you see every %#@& (Insert favorite expletive) fool idiot that goes out and gets hurt or killed adds one more bullit in the tree huggers/lawyers/insurance companies (Take your pick) guns to use in Washington in an attempt to do away with our sport altogether. You see they seem to think they need to save us from ourselves. It has happened before, it can again if we don't bite the bullit and take a direct hand in support of our sport and make it a kinder gentler place. And don't EVEN get me started on the ways certain people ride their rockets... I figure that is their business. It is my business and yours too if you really care about riding.. cause if you don't, you will lose it. I can't count how many areas have closed down because of loud noise or the way some people ride... locally, a bus flipped over when some idiot was doing wheelies on the street and almost ran head on into the bus... that little episode closed the whole place down just because of one person's desire to show off... now I have to drive over 60 miles to fire my quad up... So you can see why I am so touchy.

Box, if you are saved those sins are excused. Guess we still gotta listen to the rundown for humilitiy sake though on Judgement Day.

Since our bodies are God's temple, it must be a sin not to protect it.

Just4kicks,
My wife also encourages me to go to places like Iraq and Afganastan. If I get killed over there she gets extra money on top of all my insurance. Even my funeral is free. She can't lose.
