I work with a guy who was "just going to putt around" and didn't think he needed a helmet. Now everytime he looks in the mirror at his disfigured face he wishes he would have put a helmet on.

Trx440, you are absolutely right! All sin, past-present-future was nailed to the cross at calvary. I guess what I meant to say is I know that I will stand before Him soon to give an account for my entire life....and that's a little scary to me! No...ALOT!!!

God Bless

Shastadogg, that one was an unfair comparison....used to support your claim. It is unfair to compare street bike statistics to riding ATVs. Totally two different environments.

With all respect, I believe, wearing a helmet is my choice. I don't like people telling me what I should or should not do. I don't think ,that all those seat belt laws or helmet laws are in place to protect ME. They are in place to protect the Insurance Co's etc.
When I wear A HELMET I am always faster and careless. 'Cause I am protected.....? Am I, really??
I only wear a helmet when riding with my buddies, or when I am faraway in the wilderness, alone. And again, it is my choice and nobody's business. You don't have to agree with me,and that is your choice.......I can't care less.

I wear one even when im trying to look kool. Chicks dont like a mud covered face anyways. Or a brain splattered on the ground in front of them. JMO.

I dont wear one when im playin around in my backyard, like wheelyin and stuff. But when im going to someone elses house or somethin, i always put it on. Im 14 by the way, so i dont wanna have to leave my parents... I wear helmets made by Fulmer. DOT rated. Good lookin helmets, good protection too.

Please explain how it only protects the Insurance Co's? And how much of a difference is there from riding alone, to riding with your buddies? Do you not trust thier abilities? Do you showboat more when they're around? Just curious. I agree, its everyones personal decision to wear the proper protection, and don't think people should try to shove thier beliefs down others throats, but, I think its also important to set a proper example for kids who are just starting to ride and are easily influenced.
