Helmets? yes or No

I always wear mine unless it is putting it away after a wash. If I'm not on the property, the helmet is on.
I don't preach, but there is a good reason to. The ATVing world gets a reputation that we are all part of. Wearing a helmet helps.
Also, when you somehow don't have health insurance and crack your head open, the rest of the world ends up paying for it. Doesn't sound good to me.
Another thing - you can't compare wearing a helmet on a quad or a bike to wearing one in a car. In a car you, if wearing your seat belt, will not fly out/off of and smack your head off the outside world. The dangers to your head rest inside the car. On a quad/bike where you have no seatbelt, no rollbar, and will fly off, you can smack your noggin off anything imagineable. There really is no comparison and trying to do so makes you look foolish.

If I don't use my helmet strap the wind blows the bill and forces the helmet off my head. If I am riding with friends I always wear my helmet. I ride more aggressive with friends. Everyone does. If I am out for a casual trail ride by myself and am on my moto 4 I might or might not wear my helmet. I always wear my helmet when riding my blaster. I has a light front-end. especially when the gas tank is less than half full.

You shouldn't have to wear a helmet if you don't want to. If you fall off your bike / quad and crack your acorn then you should have to pay for the med bills out of your pocket, not your insurance company's, which happens to be my insurance company. When my rates go up cuz of someone elses mistakes, I get upset.
Helmets in a car??? Who said that?

90% of the time I do...I normally am riding pretty hard and the only time I dont is when I am putting the quad away (or putting arount the house at about 5- 10 mph) or I am snow plowing...as far as helmet straps...they are there for a reason...it is kinda like the whole car theory...seatbuckles are their for you to were if you dont put them on then you will get hurt worse...

TO THOSE THAT PREACH TO WEAR HELMETS, do you wear one while driving your car/truck/boat?? Hell if it is dangerous on a quad it is dangerous in a vehicle on the hiways and roads. I have read and seen people that suffered head injuries while riding in a car. When we were kids we never wore a helmet while riding bicycles, but in this day and time it is mandatory in some places. Back in the 60's and 70's i guess our parents did not care.
I once knew a judge in texas that wore a helmet in his car on the way to and from work. It used to drive his wife crazy. He is still alive but she died of cancer.

It would be great if my insurance didn't have to pay for your stupidity but it doesn't work that way. If you crack your acorn more than likely I'm paying for it one way or another.
