Yzf or Raptor
I have an opportunity to buy a new YZF 450 for the same price as a new Raptor. I ride trails mostly and I dont race on a track but like to be competative on the crosscountry trails. I also like to drag race. I cant obviously list all my preferences but would like some input as I've never seen a Yzf in action. Lets be honest. What are the pros and cons of both?

It all depends on how fast you ride and where. For casual trail riding, the raptor is more comfortable in the woods. If you push it hard, it may feel tippy because of its tall and narrow stance, but it is a very comfortable ride. Add a few mods for drag racing, and there won't be a modded yfz that will touch it. But if you ride pretty hard and don't mind a stiff seat and like to jump, the yfz will be the quad for you. The suspension is race oriented and will feel very harsh if you are a slow rider, but if you can handle riding hard in 2-3rd gear in the woods or track, the suspension will feel smooth as a baby's bottom? Yeah! They are both great quads. Sit on both and see what feels good. Just consider your riding style and pace and choose your weapon!

Yzf or Raptor
I own a YFZ and my best friend has a Raptor. We traded quads a few times so I got some seat time on a Rappy. You actually sit "in" a Raptor and "on" a YFZ. We race often just for fun and I usually win the drag races but not by much. We also jump and race our quads on our own flat track. The YFZ is much lighter and always out jumps the Raptor. He use to out jump me when we both had Blasters. But on the track I can usually make mine slide way better without it wanting to tip. We alos trail ride alot and we are going to ride in snowmobile type trails this winter. The YFZ goes everywhere the Rappy goes. We crossed muddy swamps and we rode in a river that was about as deep as the tires. So the only thing I like better on the Raptor is the seat. But thats an easy fix for the YFZ. You will never be able to make the Raptor as light as a YFZ. As for reverse I've seen him use it in the trails twice but by that time I had did a 180 turn on my quad and was waiting for him. Either bike is great, best thing to do is to try them both if you can.
