Default 240 blaster vs 400ex

my friends tells me that a 240 blaster with a jet kit and reeds could "probably" take 400ex, in my opinion i dont think it can but i want you yamahaers opinion and maybe someone who has raced one cause sometimes those honda guys sometimes take sides since they have a honda i would appreciate it if you guys told your own honest opinion thanks in advance

a hot 240 would leave a 400ex like it was standing still, a big bore/ light porting 240 would more than likely beat it but not by as much.

well when i first got my 400ex i still had the blaster and i had my friend ride the blaster and i rode the 400ex, we drag raced and they would stay even for about 20 feet then the 400ex would pull ahead, note that the 400exwas badly worn and had 2nd gear blown out and he blaster was perfect, it was jut a regular 200 blaster not a 240 but i think with a 240 kit the blaster would be able to keep up with a 400ex

most 240 kits claim to have 27 for the weak ones and 40+ for the bad **** ones. A 400ex has 24-25 and weighs more, so........ you decide.

blasters with 240 cylinder kits shouldn't be taken lightly. blasters with 240 cylinder kits from ct and vito's can take piped banshees. A blaster with a 240 sleeve would be about even with a 400ex. Of course you would need an extended swing-arm wider a-arms and shocks all the way around for the blaster to handle its new found power. my blaster just has a pipe and it already needs an extension. I can't launch it anywhere without the front end coming up.

Are u talking about hp if yes the 400ex have 29 and a blaster have less than 20 without the 240 kit the 240 kit cannot give like 10-15 hp maybe 5 but not more .
