biggest and baddest dune?
Last Labor Day wasn't too bad. I think high 80's to low 90's as high's. It is at 4000' elevation so that helps. Check the weather for Fallon, NV if you want to see the averages for that time of year. Weather for Sand Mt. - Average for Sept. 1 High 87 - Low 53!
I would think you guys could come up 395??? Probably 10 hours but, worth the trip at least once for seeing everyone. Sandman came down last year and AZSand and KMDuner came up. There were a few others there too.
Really is a much better hill to crown the fastest 4-stroke.

The wall at Sand Mountain is pretty steep ... as steep as sand can stack and its pretty loose. Its a great place to ride. Oregon is favorite place to ride ... but there are NO challenging hills there after riding at SM, NV
From video and other things Ive seen it looks like the dunes in Idaho might be a little looser. I hope to ride there this summer.

Personally, I figure any real WV hill climb would be better then any sand dune. Or any mountain hill climb for that matter. You know the kind....rocky, rough, rutted out. LOL. The kind of hill climb that you either make....get lucky and catch your quad....or you buy another one after you scrape together the pieces of what used to be a quad at the bottom.
