Default Arguement

A few persons and myself are, at a disagreement as to the origin of the Raptor motor.

They claim it came from the 660 Grizzly.

I say it comes from the MZ Scorpion Motorcycle and, the europe only XTZ 660 Yamaha Dual sport motorcycle.

Yes, I know that the Raptor was released before the 660 Grizzly. But, try to convince some others of that.

Thanks

I've always read it was derived from the dual sport bike, and the Grizzly engine is a variation of the Raptor. Could be wrong though

Yeah I was told it is from a euro dual sport, the grizz is a detuned raptor engine, which is a detuned eurodualsport engine.

The 01 Raptor had the same internal gearing as the overseas street bikes from which it was derived. The Grizzley then recieved a variation of this engine, and now the Rhino has as well.
