365 bore kit for wolvy
#1
looking for information on the 365 powroll bore kit. I do alot of trail riding, some pretty rutted out mud bogs and want to move up to some 25'' tires -can't lose hill climbing power- anyway has anyone bored out their wolv with this kit? I saw it for $250. Around how much for the boring? pro and cons of doing this would be helpfull. Do you have to take your bike to the shop or take engine in or what? If you've had this done you can see I need some help. Thanks for the inputon this.

You could go about your project in two ways... one, you take the front fenders, tank, head, and cylinder off. Then, take your cylinder and the powroll pison to a local machine shop (get references) and let them bore the cylinder to match the piston. This is the most cost effective solution of you are even somewhat mechanically inclined. You will not need to remove the transmission from the bike, just the cylinder and head.
Option 2 - take your bike to a local mod squad (bike builder) and let him do the work for you.. much more expensive.
If memory serves me, I believe you should be able to get a cylinder bored for $50 or less.
Hope this helps.

Yes 95Wolverine you are correct its about $50 or so because its an .080" overbore and it doesnt require resleeving. Its an 85mm piston. It will run a little hotter and you will need to break it in again. From what Ive heard its a pretty good kit.
