Grizz 04 Gears

Default Grizz 04 Gears

Just got a 04 Grizz and not sure about the L and H Gears. Can you change from L to H as you pick up speed?? do you start off in L or H??

Not sure how these gears work. please help.

Default Grizz 04 Gears

L and H are not gears, they are gearing ranges. L is for heavy going, plowing, deep mud, ect.,
low ground speed and high engine rpms.
H is for normal riding and lighter loads. I don't beleive you can change from one to another
while moving, but I could be wrong there. The Grizz is a belt drive auto trany, and H would be the
range you want to be in 90% of the time.

Read your owners manual, quick.

Just stick it in High unless you are doing heavy work. And you supposed to be at a complete stop to shift between L&H

mine "clunks" loudly if I'm not almost completely stopped.
