I have a 1994 warrior and when I go to put the quad into reverse, the engine dies everytime.

welcome!! bump for the new guy... I really dont know what is wrong with your quad but someone will...

Your clutch sensor has been disconnected. On your clutch perch there is two sensors with wires coming out, the top one is park brake sensor and the bottom is your clutch sensor. Remove your nose plastic and follow the wires from the bottom sensor on the perch down to the two plugs and I think you will find one has unpluged.

I follow the wires away from the clutch and they go into the main wire loom and it is hard to find the other ends.

if it overheats would an oil cooler take care of the problem??? i think i saw 1 on your warrior...

I never had it overheat yet and I have been riding it pretty hard, but before I did my motor mods I installed my oil cooler. If I didnt have that I think it would most likely overheat

Thanks for all the info. I will get a chance to look at it tomorrow. I am dealing with the earthquake. My garage and house is a mess.

thanks for all the help. Today I found the problem. The switch at the clutch handle has not been working. I bypassed the switch and now reverse works. I will order a new switch and all is good.
