OK, this is after WOT run up a hill. It is the same plug, just from 2 different areas... I just want to be sure that I am not running lean, Im not sure of the white spot on the one side of the plug, the band of brown around it on the one side is wierd. What is that from ya think? Waaaaay rich. What are your mods (intake, exhaust, engine) and what is your current jetting? What fuel are you running? Is that a DP8 or DP9 plug? Also, get a brand new plug to use for the next jetting run, that one looks like it's been used for a while and a new one will be easier to read.

It might look black in the pick, but its more of a dark brown really. And in the pic where it looks like it has a band around it of brown, and the rest is a very lite grey has me wondering a little.... how would it get like that? Does that mean that it might be a little lean........ I dunno, any other suggestions?? The motor is completely stock, only things done are in my sig.... That should be the same number plug that is put in from the factory, I didnt do the first valve check/oil change, but I have been doing them since. Im going to check the valves for the 1st time myself.... they have already been done one time at 20 hrs, and the bike has 67 on it now.

WOT runs are indicated by the deep down inside part of the porcelean so you really need to look there. In order for us to see with a pic you would need to cut it open with a hack saw. Top part = bottom end jetting, middle = mid jetting, bottom(deep inside) = top end jeting. From the looks of it your bottom end is a bit rich.

I have heard and read the same thing chimmer is talking about. It also looks like you didn't have your plug in tight or all the way and looks a bit oily. Check out this linkReading a plug
