Default K&N-GYTR VS DUST!!!! Advice needed...

I am looking at getting rid of the stock foam element and crappy mounting system on my raptor and getting one of these two, along with the sparks x6. I ride in VERY dusty conditions and want to make sure that the inside of my motor stays nice and clean.... I have heard that the K&N isnt so great in this type of riding.... does the outerwears crure this at all, or should I just go with the foam GYTR.... which one gives the best breathing? I did a search and not much came back other than the K&N is easy to clean... what do you all think??

The K&N filter with outerwears is pretty good at keeping out dust. You can even install one of the air box lids with the screens to keep out dust.

But the aftermarket foam filters are actually better at keeping out dust.

I use the K&N w/ outwears and clean my filter after every real dusty ride.....and if I avoid those rides, then I clean it about once a month.

Dust = Foam..

My K&N on my old warrior let in too much dust... it was easy to clean though. Foam on my raptor is much better.

If you do a lot of dune riding or flat out (drag) racing, the K & N is what you want. But if most of your riding is dusty trails and mx tracks, you're better off with the foam.
