Default How many pounds of compression is good... Banshee???

I just got a compression tester for christmas and was wondering how many pounds is good for a banshee. I got a reading of 118-119 pounds, sounds about right to me, but just checking what they are supposed to be.

Perfecto. Once it starts fallin below 100 or so, u might wanna loook at a rebuild. Otherwise, thats a very good number.

It depends on your altitude, and if the motor was warmed up or cold.

Make sure you hold your throttle wide open when you take the test. And turn off the fuel and ignition.

Yah, i had to rebuild when my banshee wouldnt fire with 60 lbs compression, like the others said, 100+ psi is what it should be.

Reading higher than 120 are usually the result from shaved heads

hmmm.. one of my friends has a cool head with 22cc domes.. and the other is stock..
all you do is stick the tester in the plug hole and kick it over right?
they usually run over 135psi easy...

its a combo of compression created and contained.

diff pistons, gaskets and heads can all change the numbers.
