I am just wondering if anyone has parted out a Raptor and what kinda money is it possible to make from it??? I have parted out a banshee that ran and got about 2700 out of the parts, I am hoping that the raptor would bring in more??? Just a thought right now, but I might part mine out and pay i t off instead of fixing it, and then getting a new quad and starting again. Still not sure what I wanna do yet.

What is wrong with your bike that you want to part it out, I remember you posting about wrecking and messing up your leg, ugh, saw the picture... but did you wreck the raptor when that happened??

 

The Raptor itself is great, not wrecked. The engine needs about 1500 in work, more to make it what I would really want. The reason I am considering parting it out is becuase I am about to try and buy a house and pay off all my other debts. If I could just get out of the raptor now it would be the best way to do all that, then I could buy a new quad, and hopefully one that suits my riding a little better anyways. I really would rather just put tons of money into, but that would set all my other plans back!
Ubetrun, something let loose in the bottom end, beat up the crank a little and is now locked inbetween the crank and couterballancer, so that needs fixed and it needs a new rod, piston, timing chain and some other stuff just to be on the safe side. The head and all that is fine. What do you think its worth the way it is?? If I part out the Raptor I would need to be able to get like 4000 out of it, think its possible?

I seriously doubt you'll get $4k by parting out your machine.

 

I didn't think so, but what is a possible amout?? gotta be more then the 2700 from the banshee, I also parted out a crappy 89 blaster that didn't run for 1200! and it was junk.....

 

If your cases aren't busted, I'll buy your motor. I'm building a monster 727 and don't really want to tear apart a perfectly good 686 to do it. Shoot me a PM and we'll discuss further.
