It seems like the Raptor when not running it wide open it would feel boggy and dump too much fuel in the carb. What would be the best way to lean it out just a bit.....would I need to change the needle?

maybe your chokes are not shutting all the way off. sometimes the plunger sticks on the RH carb. look at your choke lever from the ground up. is the cable wadded up there? if it is, then the choke is not shutting off - spring prob broken or crud in the tube. Not hard to fix...01s are famous for it- a friend's did it today...
When i fixed mine i cleaned the tube out really well, lubed with teflon, and found a way stiffer spring. that fixed it.

Thanks for the info.. going to look inside the problem ( I did replace the plunger area including spring). But never the less.. I'll check it out. Thanks!
