UPDATE!!! Stupid HIDs
Cali,
I'm using the Hella 500 round off-road driving lights. Hella 500
They use the H3 bulbs which are cheap, reliable, and available.
Fabbed up a light bar and wired then just like ya would in a truck/buggy - to the batt through a fused relay (comes with all the stuff ya need). Added a switch on my fender. It completely avoids any stock wiring, etc.....and put a quick connector on the light wires. Some flex conduit and I'm there. I left the TTs in place and now for night rides I just pop on the light bar (2 bolts). I'll always have the TT for back-up. Then for normal (90% of the time) daytime riding simply remove the light bar. Cant run both sets of lights at the same time but dont need to now !!
I had PRM make me a front bumper without the top hoop to facitate easy light bar install.
Hope they hold up !

UPDATE!!! Stupid HIDs
Ogilby is nice. It's 10-15 min ride (through groovy small dunes) to Patton Valley. The camping is much more low key and not a dust bowl. There are bushes and some small trees and plenty of room to spread out and not be on top of each other. Overall, I'd say it's more family oriented - a bit safer (less traffic) for kids too. RVs typicall dont have any problems but if ya get too close to the beginning of the dunes it gets sticky.
There is about 5 miles of gravel road into camp so if ya have fancy stuff it's a bit of a slow road. Basically take the Ogilby exit and keep going (about 6-7 miles) and turn left just before the train tracks. Follow that road toward the red light tower.
I've camped at GW, Glamis, and Ogilby and I like it there best.
