Default Need Advice

I have a big decision to make and need some help. I am looking for race ready quads and I will be racing all mx so I have been looking mainly at 250rs. I have been looking for a while now and haven't come up with much in my price range. In the next couple of days I might have the chance at getting a Banshee with long travel front end, extended axle, (all the suspension mods) and pipes for $2800. I can't decide whether to buy the banshee and put the rest of my money, around $1200, into the motor, or wait for a 250r for around $4000. Once again this will be strictly for mx and I need some advice. Thanks.

Hey I suggest you get a Quadzilla if you can handle it it might be more money but there the fastest Quad made and if you cant handle or afford it buy a Banshee. Hope this helps

I'm not an MX-er but I read the magazines and I see what wins...I'd say wait around for a good 250R...

The quadzilla is to big for Strict MX racing, but dont get me wrong I love them. Also, I would look at the shee, since of course it allready has the suspension set up, A nice R is hard to find for 4000 but they could be had. I would go with the 250r, by the age they are probably set up more for mx by now.

Yeah, I was really hoping to see prices drop with the yfz and trx coming out but it never really happened. I just don't have the 5 or 6 thousand for an mx 250r, and after putting a grand into the banshee motor I should at least be able to smoke an R in the straights. Thanks for the advice guys, looks like that Banshee will be mine in a couple days.
