and how many people have trouble free Raptors? Prob alot more then have problematic raptors. It's just that the people with problems are more vocal, giving the apperance of a crappy bike.

No problem here with my 01 but I am on a mission from GOD

 

100% tru but there are so many of em compared to other modles

 

my raptor is ok.. just the carbs arent jetted right for the pipe.. i have no problems to report other than i wish they had 1 carb for 1 cylinder...

 

ps i had a 1988 trx 250R and if anyone doesnt think there fast enough havent ridden them.. with the pual turner nationals cylinder and the fmf fatty that thing was a rocket... but it wasnt "trouble free" either but it was almost 20 years old

 

but how many raptors have been sold compared to other sport bikes? Seems like 2/3's of the people on this forum own a Raptor.

That's interesting.. I think I'm going to try and find some sales figures for ATV's by model... wonder where I could find that.......

 

i saw a stock 250r get completely blown away by a stock ds650 i wasnt impressed at all

OK... Im new to the ATV thing, Rode MX for years and have the scares to prove it.... however you guys are scaring me on the reliablity question of the Raptor. There is a guy that has done the White Bro/Jet/wheels thing to his '01, and I was gonna buy it. I take it that an '01 is not the preferred year for the Raptor? What other issues are you guys having?? What should I look for when considering a purchase? Thanx in advance for the advice.
