We recently bought a 90cc Viper for our son.As far as I can tell from all the reading I've done he is legal to ride it as long as he is closely supervised by an adult.Me and my wife ride with him at all times, one in front and one behind.Of course you need the atv insured and licensed. There is no ATV specific license for the rider that I know of.One problem you may have is your supposed to be 16 or older to any atv over 90cc's.So as far as I know as long as your old enough to ride the atv by the manufacturer's reccomendation you should be ok to trailride.

Your absolutely right a 14 year old on a 90 is rediculous.Unfortuantly thats the laws. You might be able to get away with it if you ride with your parents or an "adult" to supervise you.Technically our son is not really legal either since he is only 6 and is riding a 90.So far we have never been stopped and we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.
