Boy, am I stupid

So last week I put some UPP intake boots on my raptor. It went installation went smoothly so I started it up and it sounded fine. Then I hit throttle and it revved slightly and then it goes whop, whop, whop. I figured maybe the jet needles unseated or I didn't hook the carb up right when i had it off. I checked it all and the float level and it was all fine but still wouldn't go past 1/4 throttle. I was totally puzzled for a week until i looked it over again and found that the parking brake on. Naturally I couldn't ride the one time we get snow on the Oregon coast.
Anyway, I'm excited now because i took it to the shop now for a new one-way. While its there i figured i might as well get a few more goodies, so i am getting a 11:1 piston, stage 1 hotcam, and an airbox elimination kit installed. The shop said they would do some mild head porting and some other small things for free too. Can't wait to get it back to tear up the sand! This is at Oregon Powersports in Tillamook, so far they have been extremely good to work with and a lot of help.

Anyone else have some thoughts on this or am I just being a little over cautious here???
Either way, good luck.

Yeah they are going to clean it up a little. You guys wouldn't be so skeptical if you saw the owner's Raptor that is sitting in the shop. I think it has a 12:1 piston, oversive valves, aftermarket A-arms, red fullbore plastic and enough chrome to make your eyes water. But the shop just started out like a year ago and they are trying to get their name out for future business.

Well, how about I'll find out for sure if they know what they are doing when I get it back, I've just heard good things from other people about this shop and that's why I went to them. Like I said, I'll know in about 2 weeks, but talking to them I'm sure they know what they are doing.
