I kinda caught a trend while reading hte article.

They continually talked about how it was a good all around bike, suspension was plush at low speeds, where as the YFZ only worked well when you pushed it. They said other such things too. What I'm betting on is in the shootout, they are going to give the nod to the 450R simply because it is a better all around bike, even though the YFZ is (from what I've gathered) a full on MX race bike, not an "all around bike". Isn't the 450R being pushed as an "answer to the YFZ"? In that case, they should compare them as MX race bikes.

 

The upcoming shootouts are going to be a nifty deal. When you consider the re-birth of the sport quad industry is now complete (All the original players, plus a lot more), and the stage for factory battles is set. Concentrate now on setting your programs up to compete for factory dollars. Elevate your wins, and you might be elevating your bank account....or number of race machines the factory drops by your shop.
