on my 2000 blaster i have an fmf pipe and silencer, boyesen reeds, vito reed spacer, uni filter, 18-11-8 turf tamer rear tires, and holeshot front tirres. So far the gearing is stock but my top speed isn't very high and i very quickly go through the gears(1-6 in about 5 seconds)first gear is useless. if i add a 14 tooth front sprocket will i lose to much low end power?

I did the same thing to an old blaster> I put 18 inch tires on the bike and changed the countershaft sprocket from a 13 stock to 14 and this made the bike perform like stock speed

On the Blastercentral page, they say adding a 14 tooth sprocket is a cheap and easy way to go about 5 mph faster. I ordered one and put it on my stock Blaster and I have to say it does make me go a little faster but not significantly faster. It also seems to take a little longer to get to top speed.

Adding a 14t front sprocket will give you more top end power, the stock sprocket is a 13t, adding a 12t will give you more low end power for hills.
Hope this helps.
