We tried a few different makes on the blaster when we had it...the stock was about as good as it gets... you will not notice a difference between the different reed cages unless there are other mods involved....stay with stock and put the money in the bank.
A good set of pipes and proper jetting goes so much further.

There are mixed feelings on messing with the intake length..(using reed spacers etc.) personally I did not do it. Maybe others will chime in that have messed with reed cages and had good results.
You could always have the head shaved and run a higher compression piston. Open up the airbox a bit. Or go more extreme and go for a 240 kit.

there again....people have mixed feelings on the K&N....only because it's a "paper like" filter. Most like to run foam.
I myself run a K&N with an outerwear over it...no airbox lid(this is on a banshee).
Anytime you allow an engine to breath better...there is potential for more power. of course you will need to rejet to get the most out of it.
As far as the reed spacers go...I believe they will work with the stock cages. ...I'm just not sure your are going to see any difference in performance because of it.

Never use a K&N filter on a two cycle. Reed spacers are to help bottom end. Boysen dual stage reeds are well worth the money. Put some UNI pop in air filter plugs in your air lid then you will have to go to around 280 main jet. A degree key for your fly wheel helps a lot too.
