Default Elkas ???

Yea but without the front lowering the way I expected I'm not sure how it's going to work.

Yeah, you need to drop 2-3 inches to level the bike out with the rear linkage flipped. Hopefully your shocks will break in and you'll get alittle lower.

I know mine sets good and level with the drop blocks in the front from CFM.

Default Elkas ???

I'll be at the Glamis gathering this weekend in wash 4, I have Elka Trips front and rear and they do lower after a bit, I felt the same way "I paid this much for this ??" but Ill promise you this, the Elkas have saved my bacon more than once from serious injury

Default Elkas ???

Will someone please explain the "zero pre-load" theory please? I'm not understanding how this works. I know that they still have a "preload adjustment" becuase of the adjustment collar on top of the spring, but maybe this is just a term I'm not wise to? Zero Preload seems to be an atv only thing. I've never heard of it from my dirt bike days......

relax dude, they will loosen up...and yes your weight does need to be on the bike. especially when they're new. zero preload: example: when you hit a jump the shock will fully expand to release all of it travel. when you land the shock compresses and settles back around stock..a fraction of a second later the quad begins to sags and lower 1" or 2". for stability. this gives you a lower riding quad that doesn't loose the benefits of travel.

Elka will fix and go out of their way to assist any problem...even if they just don't feel right. they will work with you until its right. they went as far as sending me diffrent springs to try myself. i know your probably still feeling the effects of sticker shock. but trust me you made the right purchase...be patient. took me awhile to figure out how to adjust and what worked for me...but they do break in and loosen up.

call them
