Banshee Sprockets 12:42????
Hey well I posted a forum saying that I needed new sprockets and so I finally went and ordered them. I ordered a 12 tooth front
and 42 tooth rear. MY FRIENDS ARE SAYING THIS IS WAY TOO MUCH AND I WILL HAVE TO SHIFT THROUGH THE GEARS REAL FAST
AND MY TOP SPEED WILL BE ABOUT 70 WITH THE MODS BELOW. WILL I BE ABLE TO WHEELIE ALOT EASIER NOW?

12/42 would be way low gearing IF YOU HAD STOCK TIRES. You have 22's, so that offsets about 1 tooth on the front. So your 12 tooth is like a 13 tooth on a Banshee w/ 20" tires.
I have 12/42 with 22's and I like it. I may get a 13 just to compare, but it's not too bad.

Better have that radar gun ditched because it aint going to happen that way. You see what my Banshee runs in 300 feet. Well it ran a 8.05 at 81mph in the 1/8th mile and a 10.38 at 89mph in the 1000ft and that's on a good dragstrip with a 16-41 gear ratio and McCreary tires which are 22 inches tall. It was sounding out pretty good in 6th with maybe just 1-3 more mph to go. Your not going to do that MPH. Dont mean to burst your bubble or start an arguement but the truth is just that it wont happen. By the way if you had NOS or turbo and much taller gearing then it would be possible on a long stretch.
