For those of you who have bought used quads and parts, i need a little help. What do i need to look for when i'm buying used pipes off say, ebay? I found a set of toomey t-5 for $250-450. Wut do i need to look for to make sure their still in good condition and to make sure their going to give me the hp Toomey promises?

 

Look at the seller's feedback, first of all. Most will have plenty of good responses, and that gives you a little background. Ask the seller to email you some detailed pictures to show any rust, dents, etc. Some of those pipes I see on there are really trashed, and some are nice. If the seller communicates freely with you and will show you good detailed looks at the pipes, go for it. If they're dented up in the expansion chamber that can change the performance of the pipe.
