Default BEST QUAD

hey im starting to get into the gncc scene and i am looking into buying a more race worthy quad. i know this is a really repetitive and plain question, but what would you all recomend more, the yfz450 or the z400, i know you all are yamaha people, as i have been, but do you think that the 400 could become a better bike with some money invested into it? im about 6'1, 190 lbs if that helps with anything at all
thanks and your help will be valued highly

The YFZ450...
It has more power and in that you are going to need that. I understand that a moded 400 might be a nice quad, but it would have enough power if you ask me. I mean, ya, it would have WAY enough power, but more is always better. And another thing is you would have to spend about 5 thousand bucks on the mod's for the z. I am not saying get a YFZ450 and do NO mod's, but you would not need as much. I like both, but I would go buy a YFZ450, and get the power mod's and the racing mod's that everyone has. I am not smart enough to list them all, but just the normal stuff.

So here is what I would do:
Buy a YFZ450
Then get SOME mod's
Then GET WINNING!!!

Just my 2 cents worth,
Freak

You can't go wrong with the 450 if you are going to spend money on mods anyway you can turn the 450 into an awesome gncc machine!

the yfz is a race quad straight out of the crate! lightly mod it and its just a beast.

a vforce? your joking right? we have both a vforce and a 450 and i will tell you there is no comparison especially when it comes to talking about racing around on a track. The vforce is a great quad but it sucks at handeling because its so damn big.

The V Force....lol, what a joke.

If it's GNCC I would have to say you can't go wrong with either one. The Z400's are pretty dominate right now in GNCC but the YFZ is right behind them nipping on their heels. I know it's more rider then bike when watching GNCC on television, but you can really make a Z400 with the right amount of money.

You think, a YFZ is $7000-$7200 OTD. The Z400 is about $5800-$6000 OTD. You can get quite a bit for that $1200. But you really need to go sit on both quads and see what fits you the best, and what your the most comfortable on.
