I have the Alba on order, thought it was a good deal. Air box mods, header pipe, and jetting included. should have it in a few days, Does anyone know the size jets that come with it?

Spacollie, while I dont ride a yfz, I have seen a few run, the best running machines I have seen have been equipped with woods rotax pipes. these machines flat out haul, check out ron woods racing, you'll be impressed.

A friend of mine just bought a yfz450 and already has 8-10 spankings from my Bombardier Ds. Now he wants to pipe and jet it, but doesn't want too much noise. He likes Alba, but what does the LRD stand for? Also, what mods does he need to do to wake up the engine slightly?

You should be makin more than that man. A good pipe jumps the bike upto 44-45 HP if you did all that work and only gained an extra 3-4 HP, somethin aint right.

When I get my YFZ I'm gonna get the Sparks pipe forsure, there was a guy that lined up with me that had one of those and he screamed, I was very impressed.

Sparks quality matches their service, both crap.
The first and so called improved version are falling apart.
Good performance great sound but only lasted 3 months.

I would go with ESR next time.

Geoff.

I agree- I have seen a bunch of cracked Sparks pipes...I wouldn't waste my money.

I didn't spend a dime....we chopped my stock pipe to 6 1/2"s and took the baffles out...the stock headpipe is plenty big enough....my pipe rocks. It's not the prettiest thing....but it was free..... The seat of the pants tests have shown no difference between my pipe and other's $500 systems......just something to think about.
