Default Raptor Question

I could be able to pick a Raptor up for $2,500

It is an 01 with and 02 tranny
I think it has a pipe and all that good stuff

The only problem is he said there is a slight tap to the motor....he rebuilt the whole thing....and now theres a slight tap...he took it to some place to get it looked at....and they couldnt find anything...He said he thinks it may be the piston rings....but he's rode it for 3 months and nothing has happened to it

So...he said he would sell it for 2,500 bucks if he doesn't decide to fix it and about 3,000 is he does

would it be a good deal to buy it for 2,500 if he doesn't fix it?

If it's not stolen I would buy it thats a very good price even if you had to put a 690 or what ever you choose to in it.

Then just get it and ride it if it does not brake don't fix it it could just be the valves (Spelling) clatering.

Default Raptor Question

Do ya have documentation (reciepts for parts totalling around $550) that he really did do the 02 tranny conversion ? That would be important to me !

Default Raptor Question

He told me that the tranny blew about 8 months after he got it...he had to find a complete 02 tranny and the dealer replaced it with the 02...

I'd still check it out - maybe confirm with the dealer ? Typically, if it's under warranty the dealer just fixes the broken parts - an 02 conversion costs more and from a warranty perspective usually isnt covered.
