How much would a 686 big bore kit cost me?
from what I have seen and heard, stay away from Trinity. I have heard alot about and think I may have raced a few Craycraft bikes at Dumont and that is the way to go. Not only is there a very long wait at Trinity, in months, but I have been told their customer service sucks. Take it as hearsay but I tend to listen when people are bitchen about companies cust. service.

You can piece together a 686 for under a $1000 with a Stage 1 Cam, and nothing more then mild.
You can piece together a 686 with a Stage 2 cam and pretty good kit for $1000 or just over.
Or you can get a Craycraft Signiture 686 with all the goodies for $1635+shipping and that is ready to bolt on when you get it back. That heat and friction coating, piston, cam, valve springs, new valves, port and polish, bore and hone, and all the gaskets to put it back together when you get it back in the mail.

Craycraft had the parts and machining done in a couple of weeks when we did roptor03s engine. You'll need to call them to see what the time line is when you plan to do it. Only one person does the machining, they don't hire some monkey and put a die grinder in their hand when they get a little busy.

Turn around for Craycraft will be 2-3 weeks. I talked to a sparks inner circle guy a few weeks back and the wait is close to 2 years for a Sparks motor. He said to get on the list and about 1 month before your date send in the motor so your wait won't be as long. Sparks seems to have some tricks others do not. Craycraft is no slouch and the wait is very doable. I haven't seen a fast trinity quad yet, other than AirRaptors. I know there is some out there somewhere.
