So your saying that you bought a red stickered YFZ and took it back? I've been to a ton of different dealers around here and they all advertise them as green stickers...I think the DMV is confusing them with the YZ450F's...

 

yeah well my warriors a purple sticker and my friends raptor happens to be a blue sticker but my friedns 250ex happens to be more of a yellowish-orangeish sticker.

lol....just playing wit u guys....its jsut funny to read...no offence here or there..i know its a cali thing.

 

TAKE IT TO THE dmv AND THEY WILL ISSUE A GREEN STICKER RIGHT THERE FOR 12 $,THEY JUST HAVE TO CHECK TH VIN AND MAKE SURE IT IS A 4-STROKE,,i GIT A RED STICKER QWITH MY RAPTOR AND TOOK IT IN AND THEY FIXED IT..

tHERE IS NO COMMUNICATION IN THAT DAMM DEPARTMENT,THEY HAEV NO IDEA WHAT'S GOING ON..

THERE IS A CERTIAN LETTER OR # IN THE VIN THAT MAKES IT A GREEN STICKER,BUT IF THE VIN IS WRONG IM NOT SURE,MY VIN HAD THE CORRECT # IN THE CORRECT PLACE(4TH LETTER ) AND I HAD IT SO THEY RELIEZED IT..

 

Nope it wasnt a YFZ but a warrior then I turned around and purchased the Z400 instead.

 

someone please explain the green sticker/red sticker thing for me. I live in Nevada but ride mostly in California. I purchased a green sticker at the dunes and they didnt even ask what the bike was. Just asked for the money and gave the sticker. What does a red sticker mean?

 

Green sticker and red stickers are Cali emissions control system...Green sticker bikes can ride around all year long and red sticker bikes can only ride during a certain time of the year...it all has to to with emissions crap...

 

But, all the time they mess up the other way around, and green sticker bikes that are suposed to be red sticker!!
