H&W Honda/Yamaha & Yamaha Customer Service
#1
As most of you know, I spent the last few weeks trying to buy a Rhino. I was very disappointed with the service I received at Sherman Power Sports, and the dishonesty that caused all the problems. Anyway, in the process of trying to buy the Rhino, a few people helped out that should be recognized for their efforts. The people over at H&W went out of their way to find me a Rhino, and even better than that, they made it clear that if I have to drive somewhere else to buy one, they would be glad to take care of any warranty issues that might come up. Which, to me, is a big issue. Everyone always comments on buying from the dealer that will take care of you. Fortunately, we have dealers like H&W that do not hold a grudge because you bought somewhere else, and they treat you like any other paying customer.
In addition to that, my problem was not with Yamaha, but a specific dealer. I did call Yamaha Customer Service and was surprised to get a real person on the line. Sheryl Smith was just as surprised as I was with the behavior over at Sherman Power Sports. She went out of her way to resolve the issue with the dealer, and once that proved fruitless, she went out of her way to find me the Rhino in the dealer network working with H&W.
Last Friday afternoon, I decided to call the dealer in Idabel since that is where I was going to ride anyway. They just happened to have one and sold it at a reasonable price. I received a follow up call from H&W stating they were still working on it for me at which time I told them I found one and thanked them for their efforts. That being said, I am posting this as my thanks to Vernon, Joe B and Sheryl. They are great folks that went out of their way to make this right even though it was not their fault and they had nothing to do with what happened at Sherman.
Anyway, I am going to post their phone numbers in the event any of you need anything from them. H&W is a Honda/Yamaha dealer that I highly recommend.
