Default 05' YFZ450's????

they ARE NOT going to be bumping it up another 11 cc's to make its a true 450 cc mxer. the engine is inspired by the yz450f dirtbike engine, which is not going to change for quite a few years do to the fact that yamaha just came out with it in 03...the engine may be bumped um anytime between 06 and 07 though.

Isnt the yz450f 449 cc's tho? I thought they decreased the cc's on the yfz to make it gncc legal for last year

EDIT: had to fix something

in a magazine article it said look to see yamaha to raise their engine to 449 very shortly. And for those of you who bought an 04 with a 439 there will be a easily installed kit for you to raise yours to 449 very soon.

This is what i read. I dont know if its true or not.

As for your release question, if there is a major change in the design of the YFZ450 then you probably won't see it till mid-February 05, if it's just BNG then it will probably be available around September or shortly there after.

The Yamaha Dealer show is this week.

3 quads...............2 bikes

BNGs??....LE models??.....or just name changes to current models.

The show will cater to late '04 arrivals............and the sneak peeks at the 2005 models.

Yamaha has never released a model or even a preview of a model during "mid season"

We will know in 2 days.

To think people complain about the trx450r only having a kickstart...go figure.

The 2005 yfz450, will be here around september 2004, if I remember right. And I do belive that it eill be bumped up to a true 450cc quad. But I am not sure. My guess. Yes, Knowsalot, in one day we will now. I think, I forget what day it is. But it should be soon. I think that is WILL be bumped up to a 450cc.

I would seriously doubt an 11 cc displacement increase for 05. Here's why...The yfz is already faster than th trx450, so why spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to retool all of th engine manufacturing equipment? I may be wrong, but it doesnt make good business sense to me.

What if the rappy had one. Just think, no more one wayy bearing problems on the raptor...it might be awfully hard to kick though.
