Default Blaster Bore Work?

I got a blaster a few months ago and am ready to make it much faster. I've done the basic mods and have been looking into cylinder bore increases. Is .050 a safe increase? I was thinking of getting the Wiseco Kit. What kind of increases should I expect? Is it even worth it, or should I go with a 240 BB kit? I would like to get info about both. The local shops have no clue.

don't bore it just to bore it, you won't get any increase in power boring to 50ths, a big bore will give you a better increase, but you will have get a 240 sleeve installed, or just buy the kit from hollywood dirt productions

I wanted to get the bore work done to go along with future mods. Is the hollywood dirt 240 kit something that I can do at home with basic tools?

Hollywood Dirt does great work... i recomend getting there 240 kit... huge power gains... i believe u send ur cylinder to him for the work then u jus put it all together yourself... ive spoken with hollywood on his site and a few other places and he seems very professional... theres pics of his work on there and it looks good... so id definently check it out... also check with Vitos or CT racing...

The Hollywood Dirt 240 kit comes ready to install with cylinder and head, piston kit, all gaskets, basically everything you need. Also, you can get it with his PD2 or PD3 port designs but for the extra few bucks I would definitely recommend the PD3. BTW, just so you know just boring to bigger size does not increase the power at all, the power is in the port work and I have to say that out of 6 different builders that ive used Hollywood Dirt is the best.

+ he has the best prices on his 240 kits anywhere.

Yea no problem! If you have any questions what so ever you can PM me on the Hollywood Dirt board as im there quite a bit as well. Also, when you do get your kit if you have any installation or jetting questions just hit me up and I will be more than happy to help you out.
