Default 04 Kodiak overide button

04 Kodiak 450 owners,, Has anyone ever used their rev limiter overide button(one that comes stock on the bike)?
I have never used mine yet, Is it for 4 wheel drive differential lock, or just reverse,,What is it used for????
I hear guys buying overide buttons....what gives.....??????

I was told it was for the diff lock and it allowed you to go over 20-22 miles while locked. I used mine the second time out, I was climbing a trail covered in a foot of snow and I climb the hill doing maybe 10mph but the speedo was indicating 30 plus. I have not tried it for reverse but will give it a try.AlaskaBoy.

I've tried it for reverse. It doesn't work. That's the only thing I don't like about my Kodiak.

The stock override button is the diff lock override. It allows you to go over 22mph when you're in diff lock mode. There is no stock reverse rev limiter on these bikes, but a few ppl have added them. Yes, the reverse rev limiter is a PITA!
