Took my 03 Raptor to KY this wknd.....pulled it out of the truck fired right up ......and thing would not hardly run...I would go to take off and bammmmm....it would die.... it did this several times...it had warmed up a little but are Raptors really this cold natured? I did not get a chance to ride..so i just pulled it into the Garage....first time its ever happened.....but i have usually let it idle for sometime before trying to take off..Thanks...

My raptor wouldnt run that well when the weather changed. We went from 100F+ to 60-70s. I had to jet up and now the quad runs like a champ. Maybe elevation was higher as well? I went from 42ft below sea level to 4000ft and it wouldnt run as strong.

I dont think its the weather. I ride my raptor in well over 100F down to near freezing and dont see a change in engine performance, start up ease or anything. Additionally, I ride in elevations from sea level to 7000 ft and do not have to rejet. I dont get noticeable drop offs in power with the elevation change.
Did you do a mod to your intake or exhaust without rejetting? Swap the plug and see if that helps.

After you let it idle " for a bit" did it run ok? Here in Idaho when it was around 20 I had to choke it keep choke on for a bit and back it off slowly then up my idle screw and let mine idle for a while . Then it was good to go
