THE BEST DIRT TRAIL ATV??
#43
I was going to recomend the raptor or z-400. If you are worried about going with a underpowered quad. I would get the raptor. When you get used to the power or want more add a pipe and you will have a new machine power wise. Plus it has reverse a BIG plus i think.

Thx for all the great input.
I am picking up my Raptor660(all black) on Friday. Many, many people have said that as person who has not rode for many years that I will most likely will be dead soon(that sucks). So thanks for the thoughts.......
---------------------
Really though, on a different note. I always read about people dying on ATVS and can't help to wonder why they ignore the huge stickers on there fenders. Not saying there is not some obvious dangers involved, so don't pm me.
1)Wear helmet, eye protection...to start with
2) No passengers
3) Only over 16 yrs old
4) Take this or that class
5) ect.....or die.
I will do what the stickers say.....and government(who just needs a few dollars mailed to them)....and hope to be fine with careful riding.

awesome, good to hear youre not going toward the big red H. lol...anyway, as for the over 16 yers of age warning..i'm not a huge fan of that. I think it should be suggested, but not as highly advertised as it is, unless its on a hi-perf quad. I started riding my step dad's kodiak when i was 12, got my beartracker when i was 13, and im now 17. I'm one of the safest and most cautious riders youll meet.

AngryHampster you saying
Sounds very true...considering your post. You seem to be mature.Too bad because of a few others who have not been raised with your abilities(a little common sense) people under 16 will lose their rights, but it does happen, and most likely will in this case. Most people under 16 who have rode most of their lives ARE BETTER RIDERS THAN MOST ADULTS. Problem is, they DO NOT think like adults.
Then they die(as do adults who think like teens).
Then adults, because they can vote, get to say all teens can't ride. That is the way it should(and does) work.
-----------
Point is. Get teens to be as safe as you were, or they will never ride.
Death is a sure way to get me to a rant. Sorry.

lapeerbanshee, sorry man. Most likely you'll 'never' die. I just worry about teens that are overconfident. My bad.
-----------
Really it came up when we were chatting about the 'under 16' warning. I made more than needed of it.
