K&N filters blocking junk

Default K&N filters blocking junk

Do K&N filters stop more dust and junk then the foam kind or stock ones. Thanks.

Default K&N filters blocking junk

I think a K&N is better suited for sand than dust. Dust is finer than sand and depending on where it is your riding, a foam filter will suit you better. I believe a K&N is better for maximum airflow though.

Just place an outerwear over your K&N, but when I had my K&N I didnt like the outerwear they had. It was not fully enclosed for the K&N, thats why I went to the ProFlow.

Default K&N filters blocking junk

I have run K&N's with Outerwears for years on a bunch of bikes with no problems. I change them out as soon as the Outerwears gets modreately dirty. That is way before the filter acutally gets dirty.
