Default Grizzly won't quite start...

Hey gang, glad I found this site. I'm having the same problem with my grizz. Won't start. Fuel is not that old. I am wanting to change the spark plug. What's the best way to go about doing this. Do you have to take a bunch of stuff off. I can see it and can get to it somewhat through the fender/tire area. What size socket do you use. I can't get one to fit over. Is it just a regular sized 5/8th? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Lecty

did you already check the plug? My raptor was doing the same thing. Something had happened to my air/ fuel mix screw and it was turned all the way in,(have no clue how that happened, I didnt do it last time the carbs were off) anyway the plug was awful. I replaced it and it fired up and ran great. But if the plug is the prollem then make sure you check your mixture screw after you replace it because if ya dont adjust then it will just happen again

You know I hate to admit this, but I didn't check the plug. That's usually one the first things I do, but I blew it off this time.

Thanks again

The plug WAS the problem. It started right up and cleaned itself out just fine. I went ahead and drained the gas and replaced it with fresh. Back in action for a $2 NGK spark plug!

Just to share a little info, I had to buy a 18 mm deep socket, that was the only thing that fits, other sockets would work, but were sloppy, and I was always afraid of rounding it off .

I ended up using an old 11/16 deep well.
