Default California red sticker

I have an 04 blaster

#1 Will 04 blaster parts fit on a 02 blaster frame.

#2 Will this allow me to register it as a green sticker bike?

Thx

changing parts from 02 to 04 won't change the registration on the quad. On quads manufactured after '02, you should receive a red sticker. Red stickers are issued to quads that have a "C" or "3" in the eighth digit in your VIN. So, unless you plan on changing the frame out, it won't make a difference on the parts you change out Plus, if you change the frame out, you will need to notify DMV anyways.

Thanks for the reply.

I was talking about moving parts from the 04 bike to the 02 frame, the frame is where the VIN# is right? Would that make it an 02 bike?

No, the vin is stamped into the metal, cannot remove or mess with it. It's against the law and you will most certainly loose it if you do

If you just bought it from a dealer and you were not aware of the red sticker restrictions, maybe you can get the dealer to take it back and get a 4 stroke. If not, in the future, buy a pre '02 model, they are being grandfathered in, so you get the green sticker. Good Luck
