Trouble?

I've never heard anything bad about them. The only things I've heard or experienced would be the breather coming off and the brakes wearing fast. Other than that its a all around good atv. I wouldn't be afraid to buy one.

SyrupDawg, good machine. I believe this was the last year for the high/low(or was it 02) and it makes a world of differnce over the 2003 and 2004 Kodiak when it comes to towing and crawling thru the mud, I was able to ride a 2000 for hunting season and it was what made me go with the Kodiak450 as the 400's now only have high gear range. I was supprised to hear about the brake wearing issue, my friend has had his for 4 years now and has not had to replace the brakes yet and he rides it on the beack when he goes dipnetting for salmon. Are you getting a good price for it? AlaskaBoy.

Alaskaboy,
Yea I am buying it for $2000. The man said he had money trouble and needed to sell it. He said he would give me a 60 day trial period to test it and make sure that nothing is wrong with it.
