CROTTS - Alba Kit

No, I havent got any pinging with mine, just more valve noise. You should try mixing a little race fuel with your pump gas abd see if that helps, instead of using octane booster. I really dont trust that stuff. I run a mix of 25% 92 octane and 75% 110 octane camII, but that is with a 12:1 piston. With the alba kit it has a 11:1 piston so you wont need that high of octane, try mixing it with 25% race fuel and that should take care of it. What octane fuel are you mixing with the octane booster?

Crotts is correct, octane booster does not work very well for raising octane.....kind of a contradiction isn't it.
If you look on the bottle of what ever brand of octane booster you are using it will tell you how many "points" it raises the octane level to. BUT this is a little mis leading, or it was to me. For example I think I was looking at "OutLaw" brand octane booster for about $6.00 a bottle. On the bottle it said is raises the octane raiting up 7 points. What this really means is it raises it 0.7points. It can raise 92 octane up to 92.7 octane NOT 99 octane like most people (including myself) think/thought.

Guys,
Thanks for the information. Unfortunaltly I can not get Race Fuel here in Costa Rica, 91 or 92 octance is the best I can do. The Octance booster I am using (cyclo) says it raises the octane number by 3 Octane levels or 30 points when mixed with 20 gallons of fuel. I am now using one bottle for just 5 gallons and this seems to work ok. Each bottlle of octane Booster cost $4.00, so it is about an extra $2.00 per tankful.
In the future, I may replace the ALBA piston with the stock one if I need to sell the Warrior. (Next year I want to get the Z400).
Thanks
