rear brakes locking up

the brakes on my y2k kodiak keep locking up and i have to crack the bleeding valve to release pressure on the brakes, any ideas on how to fix them, is threre a certain way to bleed them, the brakes are really making me angry, and i want to make them stop locking up

It sounds like you have a colapsed brake hose. The inner wall on the rubber line a separated for the outer wall. When you press down on the pedal the pressure forces the hose to open up. But there is not enough pressure to push the fluid back. Or it could just be a kinked hose. I would check to see if it is kinked first.
