Default FCR'S or Edelbrock for Raptor

I ran that same set up, sparks mid range and I weigh 195. I would smoke 440's up and down sand mountain. Was this a flat drag race? Did he get you off the line? What gearing are yuo running?

Just FYI, you'll be buying a clutch soon if you do that too much...trust me.

Would FCR's help me. I was told awhile back that it wouldn't really make a difference. I don't think I will ever go to a bigger bore unless I have to.

They will add bottom end, instant throttle response. I'm not convinced they add to the top end over a set of modified stock carbs. There have been discussions of using 39mm FCRs on motors like yours and gaining both bottom and top. I'd investigate the 39s or a set of modified stockers. Used 35s are for sale fairly often for $500-$550.

I ran a mild Raptor with an Edelbrock and I swear it did'nt run any better than a stocker (not piped). It's freaking tiny looking on the Raptor too. One word....HALFTRACKED.
