Sounds to me like a dead or low battery. Try giving it a jump start. If it jumps just fine, the problem could be the battery. I have had many experiences with quad batteries. I had a battery short internally in the middle of a 50 mile ride. Worked just fine, shut the quad off for 5 minutes, came back and nothing.. not even a neutral light.

Another thing to keep in mind is that leaving the key on overnight will drain all the guts right out of a battery and leave you with the symptoms you described.

Give it a jump and then get back to us.

hey try this to tell if your batter is dead or low find the selenoid and take a pair of plyers and put them acrossed the two bolts and it should spark alittle its fine dont worrie its fine and your engine will turn over if your batter is fine

Hey warrior i have an 87 big bear and had the same prob and i tryed everthing and even brought it to my dealer and they replaced the solenoid and did another million this and it still would not work. So i decided to try another new batterie and it still did not work until a friend of mine told me to file the + an - connections down good and it worked like new. just an idea.

I had the same problem with my '90 Warrior (clicking from the solenoid). It started gradually, 1 to every 10 starts it'd just sit and click, I'd have to rock back and forth in 1st 'til it broke free. It finally got to the point where it NEVER started. My problem was in the starter itself - the points had gotten really dirty and weren't making contact. I took off the starter and lightly brushed the points with steel wool. After the points were cleaned it started right up no problem.

My starter was really on there. After I removed the 2 mounting bolts it wouldn't budge so I tapped the opposite end with a thick wooden dowel using a blow hammer. It finally loosened enough to where I could pull it off with my hands. From there I relied on the Xterme Powersport page to help me through:

I had to be careful not to cross thread (something I do a lot) the 2 bolts when I went to put the starter back on. To me they're kinda small and a bit fragile to hold the entire starter..? It'd suck hard to have to tap those cases.
