Loc Tite removal

That would probably work. If this other stuff doesn't work I am going to try some heat, what other choice do I have.?.?.? I have a brasing (sp?) tip with a very tiny hole in it that I'll use to do what your saying about a very small concentrated spot. I talked to Bob Craycraft earlier and he seem to think that will work too. Also he mentioned trying to drill a hole straight through the bolt so it owuld heat up more evenly and more quickly.
Like I said we'll see.
If the tip I have is too big I might end up going to get a tourch like you are talking about. I ahe seen them in Radio Shack before....(still don't know why Radio Shack ).
Thanks for the help!!!

With the Red loctite I have all ways used a impact screw driver with the allen head socket, all ways does the trick for me. Is the basket out of the engine? If so, place it in the freezer for about an hour and then try and take them out.

Red loctite burns at about 400+ degrees,so good luck using anything short of a torch.Next time use Blue loctite.Red is total overkill and if its all thats available, then the tiniest dab will do.
You'll probably have to heat that bolt a dull cherry red to transfer the right amount of heat to the threaded part of the bolt so the loctite will burn.
Sometimes an impact wrench will snap a bolt before the red stuff breaks free.I've snapped 7/8 diameter bolts with a 3/4 inch drive impact that were red loctited.
Only way is heat, heat and more heat!

if your going to use heat try it hot once and if it still dosent come loose try quenching it with something very cold while it's hot . the expansion/contraction can some times knock it loose .
Also if you get it really hot you can try hitting it with penetrating oil it will pull in around the threads ( like sweating solder )
Last but not least center punch the bolt drill in about 3/4 the lenght and then try and heat it
GOOD LUCK
Been there done that

One other thing try to turn it both directions .SOme times they will move forward ( tighten ) and then back off easier .
Good luck

I used the red loc tite because thats what Hinson said use. To make it worse they said to peen the bolts too....yeah I did, but I can handle that.
The only problem with heating and cooling is this is a brand new clutch basket and I would be pissed if I warped it. I might not warp it, but its a chance I really don't want to take.
I stripped 2 of the 3 out earlier. So since 2 were already muffed up I ground the sides flat and clamped a pair of vice grips on it. The wayt he basket is made you can't get a good grip on them from the side, so I put them on straight up and down. Then I got on the vice grips with a 18" cresent wrench, I got it to move about 3/4 of a turn....so I know there is hope.
Thanks a bunch for all the great ideas!!! I'll see how it goes around noon time.
