If you are buying a new K&N, it will come with a small pak of oil for the first time you use it. You will want to pick up a spray can of K&N or equilevant oil as well.....you will need it later on. Do not use foam filter oil on a K&N filter. It will clog the filter.

AS for the jetting. It varies. It depends on what is done to your engine now regarding mods. Are you too rich right now? Lean? Just right?
My suggestion would be to talk to the guy you buying your filter from for suggestions. Be sure to fill him in on what is done to your quad and how it performs currently. That will be your starting point.

On there wev-site K&N claims that no jetting is required. However It all depends on what you have done to your engin. Check out this web site on how to jet carbs and you should be alright from there.
