I just got my new 450 so I'm dying to spend some bux customizing here. What are the free mods I can take advantage of?

What aftermarket parts should I consider?

I'm thinking of the Big Gun Complete System. Any experiences with this pipe? Thoughts? I was also doing some searching for jetting info and I ran across a site called thumperfaq that ulimately led me to a kit called the JD Jetting kit (jdjetting.com). Anyone running this? Boy, it's expensive for jets, but it claims some good increases, so I thought I'd see what other have to say.

What about maintenance? Anything I should pay attention to?

I would do the free cam mod, pull the lid off, and pull the pea shooter out of the muffler.....mmm, then go up too a 170 main and raise the needle a notch..[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]. You are out the price of a main jet and gain a very nice increase.

IMO i would wait for the pipe shootout in DW.

But if you cant wait i would get a ct pipe kit(comes with pipe air filter etc.) and do the cam mod. If the ct pipe cost to much($629) then i would consider sparks.

 

When is DW going to have the pipe shoot out? Also, what have you heard about the White Brothers Limited Edition Pipe? It seems to be rather costly.

thumperfaq's got some great stuff that relates to the YFZ... just no grey wire mod.

 

remember, that price is for the ct pipe with K&N and the required jets. the sparks is $459.95 + Jet kit $38.95 + Sparks Air Supercharger kit $119.95. thats about 620 bucks as well. IMO, and many others on these forums, the yfz ct pipe is superior to the sparks.

 

I dont know but i am sure they will do one pretty soon.
